On my K9U drive that I received just before Xmas, all the libraries are installers, so you can't just copy them to where you like.

I've never run into this before, and I'm not sure what to do. That's a new one on me, and another headache I don't need, since I really don't think I should have to be chasing downloaded files around. No matter what I do, the download location is simply not changeable. Meanwhile, I registered the software through NI's service center, and that worked, but there are 13 updates to download, and service center will not let me choose the download folder. Even if I wanted to install it on the system drive, I couldn't because there isn't enough room there for all the sample content.

That worked fine, but if I uncheck apps and plugins and just try to install the content on the separate drive, it fails. Check your install media or internet connection and try again, or contact the software manufacturer for assistance."įor the hell of it, I unchecked content and just selected applications and plugin types and installed. The message reads, "The installer can't locate the data it needs to install the software. And without exception, this causes the installation to fail after about a second. So I'm selecting my system drive for the applications/fx, and the separate drive for the content. I've installed the content for K6, 7, and 8 there in the past, with no problems. It came on a USB HD, so there are no DVDs or CDs of content like I've dealt with in the past.įirst, when installing, I'm trying to put the content on a 2TB separate internal drive, where all of my other Komplete and NI content already resides. I just got my Komplete 9 Ultimate upgrade today, and I'm running into some issues already. I know I should probably post this on the NI forums, but I'm not a member there, and I know that there are some very knowledgeable people here, so here goes:
